These are the eight categories BaliBetween can be asked for, anywhere booking is open. A request outside them is refused rather than passed to a venue, because the categories are also what the venue was verified to offer.
Balinese massage
Firm, long-stroke massage with oil, usually the first thing people book.
Typically a full-body treatment using palms, thumbs and forearms along the body, with oil. Pressure is usually firm and continuous rather than focused on one area. Tell the therapist at the start if you want it lighter.
Massage (non-medical)
General massage where you are not booking it for a diagnosed condition.
The category that covers ordinary massage that is not tied to a medical problem. If you have an injury, are pregnant, or have a condition a doctor is treating, ask the venue directly before booking and talk to your own doctor first — this is not a medical service.
Relaxation and recovery massage
Gentler work, often booked after a flight, a long surf, or a lot of walking.
Usually slower and lighter than a Balinese massage, and often focused on legs, back and shoulders. Useful when you want to unwind rather than be worked on hard.
Couples treatment
Two people treated in the same room at the same time.
Booked as two guests in one room. Confirm with the venue whether you want two therapists or a shared treatment, and whether the room is a couples room or a twin room — venues differ.
Reflexology
Pressure work on the feet, usually 45 to 60 minutes.
A seated or reclined treatment working on the feet and lower legs. Shorter than a full-body massage and easy to fit into an evening.
Facial (non-invasive)
Cleansing and treatment facials with no needles and nothing injected.
Non-invasive only. BaliBetween does not cover injectables, fillers, or anything that breaks the skin, and those categories are prohibited in V1.
Body treatment
Scrubs, wraps, and body masks rather than massage.
Often booked alongside a massage. Ask the venue what the treatment involves if the listing is brief, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
Wellness (non-medical)
The catch-all for non-medical wellness treatments that are not massage.
For treatments that do not fit the categories above but are still non-medical. If a venue offers something that sounds diagnostic or clinical, it is not part of what BaliBetween covers.

What you cannot book through BaliBetween
This list is not a legal disclaimer. It is the boundary of the product, and it is the reason BaliBetween can say it is a non-medical marketplace without hedging.
- Medical treatment, diagnosis, or anything requiring a clinician
- Injectables, fillers, and invasive aesthetics
- Anything sexual
- Childcare
- High-risk adventure activity
- Any other regulated service BaliBetween has not approved
If you have an injury, are pregnant, or are being treated for a condition, talk to your own doctor before booking any massage or body treatment, and tell the venue directly when you arrive.
Durations and timing
Treatment lengths are set by each venue. When you are shown a confirmed time, it comes with the duration that venue offers for that treatment, so you are not guessing how long you have booked.
Requests are made against three windows rather than an exact minute. The venue confirms the exact time inside that window.
